Vice President, Development

Union Hospital is seeking an experienced fundraising professional to design, implement, and manage a comprehensive and proactive development program. The Vice President will report directly to the President and CEO. The preferred candidate will have a proven record of securing major gifts, corporate and foundation support, and experience managing staff and departmental budgets.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, CFRE or Master’s degree preferred; a minimum of 5 years of fundraising experience, 3 years experience in a leadership role preferred.

Director of Advancement, Trumbull Campus

The Director of Advancement will develop and implement a comprehensive special and major gifts fundraising program to generate private gift support for the Trumbull Campus.  This position is also responsible for managing a portfolio of prospective donors.  A competitive salary package includes opportunity to earn incentive pay as additional income based on exceeding performance metrics.  Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; three years progressively responsible fundraising and/or sales experience.  Higher education fundraising is preferred.

The Institutional Advancement office is currently raising funds for the university's Centennial Campaign, an unprecedented effort to raise substantial new resources for Kent State's students, faculty and programs.  Kent State completed its first major capital campaign in 2003, surpassing a $100-million goal by $22 million.
